If you have a civic question, ask Abe.
Ask Abe is a conversational civic companion built by Ballot Box Inc. Talk to Abe out loud or type a question, and get a plain-language answer about government, elections and American history.
What Abe can do
- Voice and text. Start a live voice call or type — both share the same conversation.
- Official sources. For current Maryland legislators, governor, bills and roll-call votes, Abe looks up official state records and shows source cards you can check.
- History and civics. Ask how government works or what happened in history and get a clear explanation.
- Nonpartisan. Abe explains; it never tells you how to vote.
Who it's for
Voters, students, teachers and anyone curious about who represents them and how laws get made. Ask Abe is an early-stage product; AI answers can contain mistakes, so check the linked sources for anything important.
